Stricker wins Murray Award
LOS ANGELES -- Steve Stricker, a nine-time winner on the PGA Tour, has been selected as the 2011 winner of the ASAP Sports/Jim Murray Award, given each year to a tour pro who shows exceptional cooperation with the media. Stricker will receive the award Wednesday, April 6, at the Golf Writers Association of America (GWAA) Awards Dinner in Augusta, Ga., during Masters week.Sponsored by ASAPSports, a system designed to instantaneously produce verbatim transcripts of press conferences, the Murray award was established in 2002 by the Golf Writers Association to honor Murray.
